Greenwood (17 June 1965)

 

Mrs. Clara Wendt, who had been a patient at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville after fracturing her hip, has been transferred to Memorial Home in Neillsville.

 

Mrs. Donald Porter and sons, Robert, David and John, of Seattle, Wash., arrived Tuesday for a visit with her mother, Mrs. Vesta Erickson.

 

Mrs. Theodore Wessel, Allan Wessel, Jerome Franz and Mrs. Mike Bolf attended graduation exercises at Eau Claire Vocational technical and adult education June 8.  Miss Lois Wessel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Wessel, was a graduate.

 

Mrs. Lena Syth and daughter, Susan, accompanied by Miss Geraldine Syth and Miss Roberta Guard of Chicago, are spending a vacation in Kentucky with Mrs. Syth’s brother, Bernard Weber, and his family.

 

Henry Vollrath and Gilbert Meyer, delegates from Immanuel and Zion United churches and their pastor, the Rev. Orval Egbert, left Wednesday to attend a meeting of the Wisconsin Conference of United Church of Christ at Lawrence College.

 

The Misses Carol Severson and Patricia Susa returned to Milwaukee Sunday evening after spending the weekend here.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Lust and children, Brenda, John  and Bonita, arrived Tuesday from Atlantic Beach, Fla., to spend two weeks with her patents, Mr. and Mrs. John Seibold; Mrs. Lust in the former Jeanette Seibold.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Joe La Monica, who spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Dyre and attended the Olson-Olsen wedding, returned to Arlington Heights, Ill. They were accompanied by Miss Peggy Rossow of Chicago, Ill., and Miss Margie Dyre, who will be employed in Winnetka, Ill., for the summer.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Corey and children, Nancy and Jon, returned to Sioux Falls, S. D., Monday after spending 10 days with his mother, Mrs. Lee Corey, and in Neillsville at the home of his brother, Gary Corey.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Dyre entertained Friday evening at a graduating party in honor of their daughter, Margie. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Joe La Monica of Arlington Heights, Ill.; Miss Peggy Rossow of Chicago, Ill.; Miss Jane Dyre of Delavan; Miss Joan Dyre of Minneapolis, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Everett Peterson of Pontiac, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. Martin Quast, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Sisson and Linda of West Allis; Lt. and Mrs. William Oliver of Monterey, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. John A. Olsen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Art Olsen and Bill, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rossow, of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Voie, Bernard Kitzhaber, David Friske and the Rev. and Mrs. Arvid Myhrwold and Peter of Greenwood.  A luncheon was served.

 

Mrs. Julia Perman and daughter, Mrs. Ed Maas, accompanied by the latter’s daughter, Miss Kathleen Maas of Chicago, have returned after spending a week with relatives in Port Arthur, Ont.

 

The Esther circle of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church will meet this (Thursday) afternoon at the home of Mrs. Howard Olsen.

 

Miss Corinne Verhulst arrived Monday from Santa Monica, Calif., to spend two weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Verhulst.

 

Mrs. Mary Jane Minsaas and son, Michael, are visiting in Willard at the Peter Saule home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Dale Jollivette and family have moved from the Jackson house, into the Jasurda house, which they purchased recently.  Mr. and Mrs. John Jasurda and family have moved to Elgin, Ill.
