Henninger, Luella Rose (27 June 1959)

The Rev. C.E. Eslick of the Free Methodist Church performed the wedding ceremony Saturday for Miss Luella Rose Henninger and Jack J. DuBrava.  The couple exchanged vows during the rites at 2 p.m. at the Loyal Methodist Church.

The former Miss Henninger is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oswald Henninger, Loyal, R. 2, and her husband is the son of Mr. John DuBrava of Greenwood and Mrs. Edith DuBrava of Wessington Springs, S. Dakota.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her oldest brother, Harlow Henninger of Sheboygan, selected a gown of white nylon lace and net.  The full skirt was made of rows of net ruffles with an overskirt of lace and a fitted bodice styled with long sleeves and a Peter Pan collar.  A tiara of rhinestones and pearls held the finger tip veil.  She carried a bouquet of white and red roses.

Miss Neva Eslick, Loyal, was the maid of honor, and Miss Norma Jean Henninger, Loyal, cousin of the bride was bridesmaid.  Miss Eslick wore a gown of blue nylon metallic net over taffeta with full skirt, fitted bodice and bolero jacket.  Her headpiece was of blue metallic net and she carried a bouquet of tinted blue carnations.  Miss Henninger wore a similar ensemble in pink and carried tinted pink carnations. 

The groom’s attendants were his brother, Dale DuBrava, Greenwood, who served as best man, and the bride’s brother, Kenneth Henninger, Loyal, as groomsman.  Larry DuBrava, another brother of the groom, and Glen Henninger, a brother of the bride, ushered.

The Rev. and Mrs. J.R. Putt of LaFarge sang, "Our Troth" and The Rev. Putt sang "The Lord’s Prayer."  Their daughter Roberta Putt, was their accompanist.  Miss Charlene Clouse was pianist for the wedding marches.

One hundred, seventy-five guests attended the reception and dinner which was held in the church parlors.

The bride’s mother wore a dress of light lilac Dacron with white accessories and the groom’s mother wore a print dress of light blue with white accessories.

The bride is a graduate of the Granton High School and Wood County Normal at Wisconsin Rapids, and has been a successful teacher at Oak Grove School, route 1, Unity, for the past four years.  The groom is a graduate of the Loyal High School and is a student at Wessington Springs College, Wessington Springs, S. Dakota.  He is employed at Pathfinder, Spencer.

The couple will live here for a short time and will then go to Wessington Springs to live, where the bride plans to teach while the groom attends college.
