Timmler, Loraine Rose (27 June 1959)

Delphinium and peonies blossoms decorated the alter at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Saturday, June 27, for the wedding of Miss Loraine Rose Timmler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Timmler, Greenwood to Thomas John Lindner, son of Mrs. Andrew and the late Andrew Lindner.

The Rev. Edward Hartung officiated at the 10:30 double ring ceremony.

The bride was escorted to the altar by her father wearing a floor length gown of Chantilly lace and nylon tulle.  The fitted bodice featured a Sabrina neckline, outlined with pearls and sequins.  Long sleeves that tapered over the wrist were secured with dainty lace covered buttons.  The bouffant skirt of nylon tulle ruffles over slipper satin was topped with an overskirt of nylon tulle with wide lace panels and lace appliqués.

Her finger tip veil of imported French illusion was caught to a lace crown encrusted with pearls and sequins.  She carried a white prayer book upon which an orchid surrounded by white stephanotis were fastened.  Pearl earrings were her only jewelry.

The bride chose Miss Carmon Lindner of Marshfield, the groom’s sister as her maid of honor, while Mrs. Janet Olson, Milwaukee, Miss Sylvia Larson, Milwaukee and Mrs. Herbert Lindner, Loyal, friends of the bride were bridesmaids.

The attendants wore identical frocks of sheer orchid nylon styled with cap sleeves and deep V necklines.  The fitted bodices featured a draped sash.  The fully gathered skirts were ballerina length.  They wore orchid halo hats.  Each one carried a gathering basket filled with white daisies and orchid pom-poms.

Little Maureen Hughes, the groom’s niece was the miniature bride, her gown was fashioned identically to that of the bride’s.  David Novobielski acted as the miniature groom.

Andrew Lindner of Milwaukee, brother of the groom was the best man.  The groomsmen were Robert Timmler, Milwaukee, Irving Timmler, Greenwood, brothers of the bride, and Herbert Lindner, the groom’s cousin, of Loyal.

Ushering duties were performed by Romaine Denk, cousin of the groom, and Ronald Stafford, cousin of the bride, both of Milwaukee.

Mrs. Timmler witnessed her daughter’s wedding wearing a Dior blue dress, white hat and white accessories.  She wore a shoulder corsage of tangerine roses.  Mrs. Lindner was dressed in a beige outfit with white hat and white accessories also with a corsage of tangerine roses.

The girls' choir sang during the services.

Immediately following the wedding ceremonies, dinner was served at St. Mary’s School Hall.  A reception was held at the bride’s home during the afternoon, where the young couple greeted guests from Milwaukee, Nekoosa, Rochester, Minn., Marshfield and Mosinee.

The bride is a graduate of the Greenwood High School and of the Milwaukee Accredited School of Beauty Culture in Eau Claire.

She has been employed at Mi-Lady’s in Marshfield.

The groom also graduated from the greenwood High School and is employed by Max Langfeldt and Sons in construction work.

For going away the bride donned an embroidered beige linen ensemble with white accessories and orchid corsage.

After a honeymoon trip to the Western States, the young Mr. and Mrs. Lindner will be at their home in Loyal.
