SHELLEY-SCHUH WEDDING OCCURS ON NOVEMBER 6

(Unity News)

Miss Geraldine Shelley, daughter of Mrs. George Shelley of the town of Unity, and Anthony Schuh, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Schuh of the town of Colby, were united in marriage at 9:00 o’clock Wednesday morning, November 6, 1940, at St. Mary’s Catholic church by the Rev. Father Lang.

The bride wore a floor length dress of white satin and lace with long veil of white silk net edged in wide lace.  She carried an arm bouquet of pink roses and white chrysanthemums.  She was attended by Mrs. Arthur Schuh, sisterinlaw of the groom, and Miss Julia Fenney of Black River Falls.  Mrs. Schuh wore a floor length dress of aqua blue satin with matching head veil.  Miss Fenney wore a floor length pink taffeta also with matching head veil.  Both wore corsages of sweet peas and roses.  The groom was attended by his brother, Arthur Schuh, and Leslie Shelley, brother of the bride.  The groom and his attendants work dark suits and white carnations as boutonnieres.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the groom, attended by the wedding party and members of the immediate families, and a few close friends.  A free wedding dance was given in the evening at the Colby park.  The young couple will be at home to their friends at the John Schuh farm where the groom with his brother, Arthur, are engaged in running their father‘s large dairy farm.
