M. J. Hellestad of the Unity Mercantile Co. in Unity, has been having a big stock reducing sale the past three weeks, until Saturday, when Graham Thayer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harley Thayer, living east of Unity, took over the balance of the stock, taking possession on Tuesday. Mr. Thayer will re-arrange the stock, adding to it from time to time, as the trade warrants. Mr. Hellestad will remain in the store until the first of the year, before retiring. Marvin Flink, who has been clerking since in June, will also retire. Mr. Thayer has engaged Miss Amy Klein to continue as saleslady. Amy knows practically everyone in this trading area and really is a part of the fixtures of the store. Without Amy the store would not seem the same. See Mr. Thayer’s announcement in the Register.
