Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Barr were Tom Barr and family of Minneapolis, Minn., and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Stigen and Shelley of Union Grove. Another daughter, Mrs. Marvin Pischer, and her family of Neillsville joined the family group. Other weekend guests were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fahey of Stanley and Mr. and Mrs. Willard Ziemendorf of Wisconsin Rapids.
Guests last weekend at the Earl Bemis home were Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Hansen and family of Watertown, and the Ervin Kroll family of Mineral Point. They also visited at the Kenneth Kren and Gary Corey homes. Mr. and Mrs. Kroll also were guests of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Kroll.
S/Sgt. and Mrs. Arlo B. Smith and son of Rapid City, S. D., are spending this month visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bergen Smith in Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. George Krause in the Town of Grant. S/Sgt. Smith plans to leave in November on a tour of several months’ duty in Alaska. Mrs. Smith and son will return to Neillsville during his absence.
Mr. and Mrs. Oakley Smith and family returned to Rockford, Ill., late Sunday evening after spending the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bergen Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Milford Williams.
Mr. and Mrs. Werner Mattson of Milwaukee, and their daughter, Mrs. George Jacobson and three daughters of Burlington, were guest several days last week of Mrs. Mattson’s sisters, Mrs. Mayme Imig and Mrs. Henry Markwardt. Monday, Mrs. Imig, Mrs. Markwardt, Mr. and Mrs. Mattson and the Jacobsons were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. (these names were missing).
