Shaw, LuAnn Annette (Marriage - 10 July 1965)

LuAnn Annette Shaw, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Shaw of Rt. 1, Neillsville, and Gene M. Calkins of Janesville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Silas Calkins of Beloit, exchanged wedding vows in a double ring ceremony Saturday in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. The Rev. Norman Lindloff performed the ceremony.  "O Perfect Love" and "The Lord’s Prayer" were sung by Arlyn Mills.

The bride entered the church with her father, attired in a full length white gown of nylon organza, imported lace and taffeta.  It featured a bodice of lace, long sleeves and a scoop neckline trimmed with sequins. From the waist flowed a full bouffant skirt of panels and lace alternating, the lace being accented by sequins. The back of the skirt was enhanced by a bustle gathered with fabric roses. A brilliant crown of crystellis and seed pearls held the bouffant bridal illusion veil.  She carried a cascade arrangement of pink roses and white stephanotis. 

Mrs. Ronald Shaw was her matron-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Carolyn Kluckhohn and Sandra Ziegler.

Calvin Van Kirk, of Janesville was bestman. Groomsmen were Verlyn Shaw and Ronald Shaw. Ushers were Charles Calkins and Arlyn Mills.

Mr. Calkins is employed by General Motors in Beloit, where they will reside.
