Mrs. Joe La Monica of Chicago, Miss Joan Dyre of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Emory Voie and daughters, Mary and Karla, of Fond Du Lac, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Voie, Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Dyre and daughters, Jane and Arlene went to Clayhorn Saturday, where they attended the wedding of Arlen Steuber and Darlene Brott.  Mr. and Mrs. Otto Voie are grandparents of the groom, and his parents are Mr. and Mrs. Charles Steuber of Strum.  The young couple is spending their honeymoon on a trip to Niagara Falls, N. Y.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Erling Nelson and family of Spooner spent the weekend with her sisters, Mrs. John D. Wuethrich and Mrs. David Danielson and families, and attended the family get-together Sunday at the David Danielson home.  Others present were Mr. and Mrs. John D. Wuethrich and family, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Stump and family, Mrs. Vera Wuethrich and Mrs. Amy Hendrickson.

 

Mrs. Herman Rust left June 19 for Chicago, where she joined Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rust for a two-week trip to University City, Mo., where they visited Mrs. Rust’s daughter, Mrs. (Elaine) Rizzolo and family. They also visited in Arkansas at Waldron, Fayetteville and Fort Smith. They spent some time in Vermilion, S. D., with Mrs. Herman Rust’s mother, Mrs. Florence Collins, and with other relatives in Alcester, S. D.  The group returned Saturday evening.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Donald (Frances) Ternes of Wausau were weekend guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Koschak.

 

Miss Joan Dyre has returned to Minneapolis after a weekend visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Dyre.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Opdyke, Mrs. Mary Barr, Mrs. Frances Hinker and Mrs. Caroline Horn attended a picnic for former residents of Iowa in Greenwood Park recently. 

 

Mrs. Andrew Lindner visited in Marshfield with relatives last week.

 

Roxanne and Sue Behrens have returned to Milwaukee after spending a weekend with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Behrens, and attending the Behrens family reunion.

 

Word has been received here by Mrs. Christ Keiner informing her that her daughter, Mrs. Frederick Gotz of Pittsville underwent surgery June 30.

 

Mr. and Mrs. William Behrens and son, Billy, of Torrance, Calif., left Wednesday after a visit at the home of his brother, Louis Behrens, and family.  They will visit relatives in St. Paul enroute home.  Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Behrens have returned to Madison after spending a few days with his parents.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Channing and daughter, Willadean, of Bloomer visited at the Myron Kenyon home Thursday. They were accompanied by their son, Harry, who teaches in Greenwood, and Mrs. Paulas also of Bloomer.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Claude Catlin of Loyal, Robert and Vance Blaettler of San Diego, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. William Kuester and daughter, Loretta, and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Kuester enjoyed a picnic Thursday evening at the Kuester cottage at Rock Dam.

 

Sunday visitors at the Hugh Severson home were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sweet of Madison and Mrs. Elenor Plank.

 

Sylvester Plank and daughter, Mrs. Helen Francis of Neillsville, spent Saturday evening at the home of Mrs. Elenor Plank.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Leinwander of Marshfield were dinner guests Sunday at the Myron Kenyon home.

 

Tim Plunkett of La Crosse spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Plunkett. Other guests were Walter Knop of Oak Park, Ill., and Caesar Augustine of Melrose Park, Ill., who left Monday for northern Wisconsin.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sweet of Madison spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gasparac.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Goeke and family left Monday for Pewaukee after a week’s vacation spent with his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Goeke, and other relatives. The Goekes were dinner guests at the home of Mrs. Alma Busch.

 

Members of the American Legion Auxiliary will meet Monday at the Legion Hall.  Hostesses will be Mrs. Joe Kohlnhofer, Mrs. Myron Kenyon, Mrs. Erwin Kollsmanberger and Mrs. Peter Korntved.

 

Mrs. Frances Hinker was hostess to the members of the Canasta club at her home Wednesday afternoon.

 

Gilbert Dill visited last weekend with his mother, Mrs. Lydia Dill. On his return to Cedarburg, he was accompanied by his brother-in-law, Harold Mitte, who returned to the Veteran’s Administration Hospital at Madison, after a few days’ visit with his family in Globe.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Voss of Loyal, and his sisters, Miss Selma Voss and Miss Cynthia Nieder of Milwaukee, were Saturday visitors at the Wayne Voss home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Reed Frane and daughters, Rhonda, Sherri and Deanna, and Miss Joann Abel of Big Bend, were guests recently of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Abel.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Metzke and children, Joan, John and Michael, spent the weekend on an outing at Winter.  Sunday they were joined by Mr. and Mrs. James Metzke and children, Kevin and Karen.

 

Sunday guests at the Norbert Kuester home were Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Awe and family of Owen; Gilbert Dill of Cedarburg, Mrs. Lydia Dill, Mrs. Laura Humke, Mr. and Mrs. Eldore Humke and family and Elmer Humke.

 

Peter Bohardt of Tucson, Ariz., who is attending school in St., Paul, visited from Saturday until Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. John Syth, parents of his wife the former Carol Syth. 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart were guests Tuesday at the home of their son, Robert Stewart and family at Stanley.
