Anderson, Oscar (1887? - 28 SEP 1963)

 

Oscar A. Anderson, 76, a retired Stanley farmer, died at Victory Memorial Hospital at Stanley Saturday.

 

He was born at Argyle and was married there in 1911 to Julia Engen.  He farmed at Barneveld and Stevens Point before moving to Stanley in 1937.  His wife died in 1957.  Mr. Anderson was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Stanley.

 

Surviving are four sons, Ornell and LaVarne, both of Boyd, Grant, Withee, and Junior, Stanley; three daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Nerdrum, Withee, Mrs. Everett Samplawski, Stanley, Mrs. Michael Quercia, Millrose Park, Ill.; five brothers, Charles Anderson, Gilman, and Elmer of Stanley, Julian, Boyd, and Marshall, Fort Ritchie, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Harry Witt, Stanley, and Mrs. Herman Anason, Willis, Calif., 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, the Rev. Carl Peters officiated.  Burial was made in Evergreen Cemetery at Stanley.
