Augustine, John (15 NOV 1885 - 20 OCT 1963)

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Green Grove for John W. Augustine, who died Sunday evening at the Havenet Nursing Home at Owen.  He was 77 years of age.  The Rev. Jerome Wohfeil officiated and burial was made in the parish cemetery.

John W. Augustine was born Nov. 15, 1885 in the town of Green Grove (Clark Co., Wis.), where he had farmed his entire life.  His marriage to Martha Raatz, who preceded him in death in 1951, took place in 1942.  For the past two years he had resided at the Havenet Nursing Home.

Mr. Augustine is survived by a brother, Ernest, St. Paul, Minn., and a sister, Mrs. Sophia Burkhardt, Thorp.
