UNITY NEWS

 

Mr. and Mrs. Sam Stark were called to Muskegan, Mich., Monday morning by the news of the death of Mrs. Haven Baker, the oldest sister of Mr. Stark.  Hobart Peep took care of the Coach during Sam’s absence.

 

Miss Dorothy Capes, who had been at Rhinelander for several months, has been spending the week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Capes.

 

Douglas Johnson, who has been the guest of his relatives here returned to his home at Superior Monday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Grant Herrick and son, Kenneth of Curtiss, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ravey Sunday afternoon.

 

Mrs. Earl Salter and daughter, Evelyn, and Mrs. Clarence Ravey and daughter, Ethelyn, were Marshfield visitors Thursday afternoon.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Broadhagen, Marshfield and Ruth and Ethel Mews, Colby were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Mews Sunday afternoon.

 

Many of our young folks are making calculations on attending the Perkinstown Winter Carnival which will be held at the CCC slides Feb. 15 and 16.

 

Quite a number of friends of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Ewert attended a shower given in their honor at the Ewert home in the town of Spencer Saturday evening.

 

Robert Wood, director of music at the high school, was the guest of friends and relatives at Oshkosh and Berlin over the week-end.

 

Miss Celia Jordan, who teaches the Barry school in the town of Hull, was the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jordan, over the weekend.

 

Charles Creed was a studio guest at the Marshfield broadcast on WFHA Tuesday afternoon.
