Grow, Eva (8 JAN 1874 - 15 MAR 1941)
Mrs. John Grow died at her home three and one-fourth miles west of Spencer, at 3:00 o’clock Saturday morning, March 15, 1941. She suffered a paralytic stroke the week previous. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 8:45 o’clock at the Swarthout Funeral Home and at 9 o’clock at Christ the King Catholic church, of which she was a member, and also a member of the Christian Mothers’ society. Rev. Joseph Graf read the Requiem Mass.
Eva Brown was born in Germany on Jan. 8, 1874, and on August 15, 1886, was married to John Grow. They came to America in 1919, settling in Milwaukee, where they lived 27 years, later coming to Clark county settling in the town of Sherman.
Surviving is the husband, three daughters, Margaret Grow, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Simon Gebhardt (Katherine), Brockfield, Wis.; Miss Suzanne Grow, Milwaukee; five sons, Rudolph and Edward at home; Charles of Spencer; John, Waukesha; Gustave, Eddyville, Oregon; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Bleisch, Detroit, Mich.; one daughterinlaw, one sisterinlaw, and eight grandchildren. The body was taken to Elm Grove, Wis., for interment.
