Schulist, Carol Lee (Marriage - 24 July 1965)
The Rev. Fr. O’Crene of Christ the King Church in Milwaukee officiated at the double ring ceremony at 10 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church in Milwaukee Saturday, during which Carol Lee Schulist of Milwaukee, was given in marriage by her father, Theodore Schulist of Neillsville, to George Raymond Legessa, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Legessa of Ramsey, Mich. Bouquets of white gladioli and baby chrysanthemums graced each side of the altar.
The bride selected for her wedding a full-length gown of imported Chantilly lace over taffeta. The fitted bodice featured a scallop Sabrina neckline trimmed with sequins. The Basque bodice was enhanced with long, tapered sleeves. A four-tiered bouffant skirt of scalloped Chantilly lace, adorned with sequins, flowed from the waistline. A chapel train complimented the gown.
A brilliant crown of imported crystellis and pearls held her fingertip veil of bridal illusion. Her bouquet included red roses, white carnations and Lily-of-the-valley, centered with a large orchid.
Approaching the altar before the bride were her aides: Mrs. Barbara O’Brien, a sister, as matron of honor; Miss Carol (balance of this wedding was missing from my copy).
