Molle, Sharon (05 AUG 1941-31 MAY 1958)

 

Sharon Molle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Molle, Unity route 1 was killed last Saturday afternoon shortly after 2 o’clock when the car she was driving went out of control after hitting a soft spot in the road about 8 miles northeast of Loyal.

 

The vehicle swung around and turned on its side and Sharon was thrown beneath the car where she died. Another passenger in the car was her sister Shirley, 14, suffered from shock, but was not injured. The girls had been to the Arnold Peiper farm and were returning home when the mishap occurred. The auto was not too badly damaged,

 

The fatality was the first in Clark County in 1958.

 

Called to the scene were Sheriff Ray Kutsche and County Traffic Officers Harry Frantz and Dale Schultz and Coroner Robert Lulloff who ruled the death accidental and said there would be no inquest.

 

Funeral services for Sharon Faye Molle were held in St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, South Green grove, at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Theodore Predoehl of Withee officiated. She was buried in the parish cemetery.

 

Sharon was born in the town of Beaver, August 5, 1941. She attended the Oak Grove grade school. She was Jr. Prom Queen this year.

 

She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.

 

She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Molle of Unity, R.R. 1; by two sisters, Mrs. Delbert (LaVonne) Schuette, Unity, RR. 1, and Shirley Molle at home and one brother Roger Molle at home.
