Ben Doede returned from Iola Saturday afternoon.
The old log house on Cash Ide’s farm, one of the first to be built in York and possibly in Clark County, was destroyed by fire last Friday.
Mr. M.C. Alton received word last week that his son’s wife died at her home in Chetek.
Mrs. Hale Davis and sister Rachel Cole called on the Mesdames Truman Davis and Rella Osgood one day last week.
Joe Snoberk is taking orders for whey pumps.
Will Shafer and wife entertained a houseful of relatives New Year’s Day.
Truman Davis, wife and daughter Lucille left Tuesday on visit with the Andrew Anderson family in Taylor.
Harry Davis and wife assisted with the work during Truman’s absence.
Jennie and Ella Ackerman are again at home.
Miss Ethel Alton went to Chetek to attend the funeral of her sister-in-law.
Mr. Muckerheide traded his farm here to Billy Bradford for the Merchants Hotel in Neillsville.
