Mr. F. Bealer is employed on the farm of his brother Herman since last Monday.

In spite of his sixteen year of faithful service to his mater, Sport, the faithful cattle and watch dog owned by Mr. Quicker, had to be shot owing to the fact that old age had the best of him.  When Jim put his finger on the trigger and looked along the barrel of the gun which was pointed toward its victim, he felt as though he was going to lose the best friend on earth.  Now we know why the path Jim took that led to the woods was strewn with ice ball as large as sparrow eggs.  T’was a hard task wasn’t it Jim?  Almost as hard as shoveling a buck.

Orval and Warren Altenburg autoed to Marshfield last Monday.

The Lutheran League has postponed their meeting until further notice.
