THEONE METZGER WEDS GEORGE BEILER SATURDAY
A wedding of much interest to the residents of Spencer occurred last Saturday, April 19, 1941, in West Allis, when Miss Theone Metzger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Metzger of Spencer became the bride of George Beiler, son of Mrs. Mary Beiler of West Allis. The marriage ceremony was performed at 9:00 o’clock in the morning and Rev. J. Feist of West Allis officiated.
Miss Metzger was attended by Miss Helen Springer of Elkhorn as bridesmaid, and the groom had as best man Joseph Sherer of West Allis. After the wedding ceremony a breakfast was served at the home of the groom’s mother and on Saturday evening the bridal party came to Spencer where a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. Mrs. Beiler is a graduate of the Spencer high school and also attended the Stevens Point State Teachers college. She was also a student in the Milwaukee County School of Nursing and graduated from that institution and was a registered nurse, being employed at the Muirdale Sanitorium. The groom is employed in the advertising department of the Allis Chalmers plant.
Out of town guests at the reception at the bride’s home were Miss Helen Springer, Joseph Sherer, Mrs. Mary Beiler, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Ziebell, Park Falls; Mr.s aan dMrs. Wm. Metzger, Medford, and Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Peters, Wisconsin Rapids.
Mr. and Mrs. Beiler are now on a honeymoon trip to Colorado and Albuquerque, New Mexico, and will be at home to their friends May 8 at 5323 West Vliet street, Milwaukee, Wis. The Record joins with the numerous friends in wishing this young couple much happiness in their future life.
