Harms, Max R. (? - 14 August 1965)

 

Services or Max R. Harms, 42, of Monroe, a former Greenwood resident who died at Windy Acres Golf Course there August 14, were held at 1:30 p.m. August 17 from the Newcomer Funeral Home with Rev. James Plymire of Grace Lutheran Church officiating.

 

Mrs. James Gordee sang, "One Sweetly Solemn Thought," and "Death is only a Dream," accompanied by Mrs. Lillian Trickel at the organ. 

 

Military graveside rites were held at the Greenwood Cemetery, with Walter Laeser, Ernest Marty, George Hoover, Fred Felder and members of the VFW participating.

 

Pallbearers were: Robert Rufenacht, Roy Olson, John Eiserman, James Krieger, and Richard Lane, all of Monroe and Jack Rowald, Browntown.

 

Mr. Harms’ wife is the former Shirley Mead, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Mead of Thorp, also former Greenwood residents. The Harms moved to Monroe five years ago.
