Foemmel, Sandra (Marriage - 28 August 1965)
Vows were repeated at 1:30 p.m. Saturday by Miss Sandra Foemmel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Foemmel, and Dennis Larsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Larsen, all of Neillsville, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. The Rev. Fr. Bernard T. Kelly officiated at the ceremony before an altar decorated with yellow and orange ‘mums. The children’s choir sang.
For the ceremony witnessed by 200 guests, the bride chose a floor length gown of peau de soie styling, with the bodice and skirt of slipper satin with a long train. A flat rose, surrounded by lace and seed pearls, held her bouffant veil of silk illusion. She carried a crescent bouquet of white chrysanthemums surrounded by white rose buds and ivy.
Miss Bonnie Foemmel was her sister’s maid-of-honor and Mrs. Robert Chadwick was the bridesmaid. They were attired in aqua blue floor-length satin gowns, styled with empire waistlines and scoop necklines. Their floral hats had split veils and each carried a cascade bouquet of chrysanthemums.
The groom was attended by Douglas Larsen, a brother, of Neillsville, and Robert Chadwick of Greenwood. Ushers were Frank L. Zickert and Wayne Gross.
Mrs. Larsen is a 1961 graduate of Neillsville High School and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens point. She will teach in Racine. Mr. Larsen, also a graduate of Neillsville High School, also is employed in Racine, where they will make their home.
