Larson, Thomas S. (21 AUG 1896 - 19 NOV 1963)
Thomas S. Larson, a former Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) resident, and of recent years a resident of Eau Claire, died suddenly at his home at 1325 S. Farwell St. Tuesday forenoon where he was stricken with a heart attack. He was 67 years of age.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, from Christ Cathedral with Very Rev. Gordon E. Brant officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Lenmark Funeral Home, 814 1st Av., Thursday afternoon and evening and Friday morning. Masonic services will be held at the Funeral Home Thursday evening.
Mr. Larson was born Aug. 21, 1896, in Eau Claire where he was educated. As a young man he chose railroading as a career and served with the Soo Line Railway for over 45 years until his retirement about three years ago. During that time he spent many of his early years in Eau Claire, later moving to Owen where he lived for 20 years and for four years at Chippewa Falls before returning to Eau Claire.
He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Eau Claire; Masonic Lodge 112 of the Eau Claire Consistory, the White Shrine, Mehara Shrine Club, and a Past Master of the Owen Lodge 317.
He is survived by his wife, Leona; two daughters, Mrs. John Hotpedt, Alathe, Kansas, and Mrs. Jack Franklin, Eau Claire; one son, Lyle of St. Paul, Minn.; a brother, Ray Larson, Eau Claire; one sister, Mrs. Roy Mills, Eau Claire, and nine grandchildren.
