Stewart, Patricia Lee (Marriage - 4 September 1965)
Baskets of white and colored gladioli graced the altar of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee as Miss Patricia Lee Stewart, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Stewart of Withee, and Clayton William Braun, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton E. Braun, of Greenwood, were united in marriage September 4. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Beryl Knudsen.
Three hundred guests witnessed as Mr. Stewart gave his daughter in marriage.
Nancy Stewart was maid-of-honor. Jeannie Brawn and Sheila Stewart were bridesmaids.
Mrs. Beryl Knudsen sang "Son of Ruth" and "The Wedding Prayer."
Stanley Schwarze was bestman. Groomsmen were William Hribar and Gary Braun. Ushers were Irving Timmler and Jerry Longridge. Terri Stewart and Eric Braun completed the wedding party as miniature bride and ringbearer, respectively.
Following the ceremony a reception was held in Owen.
The bride is a graduate of Owen-Withee High School, Wisconsin State University-Eau Claire and Eau Claire Vocational and Adult School. She was employed by the Thorp Finance Corporation in Thorp.
The groom is a graduate of Greenwood high School, Wisconsin State University-River Falls and presently is attending Eau Claire Vocational, Technical and Adult School.
Their home will be in Eau Claire.
