Schnabel, Mary (Marriage - 18 September 1965)
St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood was the scene Saturday of the wedding of Mary (Wolf) Schnabel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wolf of Loyal, and Roy Rasmussen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Rasmussen of Rt. 2 Greenwood.
The Rev. Edward Hartung performed the nuptial high mass at 11 a.m. Bouquets of pink gladioli graced the church altar.
Forty guests witnessed as Mr. Wolf gave his daughter in marriage. For her wedding the bride chose a two-piece ensemble of white lace, lined with blue taffeta. She wore a matching headpiece. The bridal bouquet was made of five white orchids, surrounded by large, white gladioli.
Mrs. Kenneth (June) Marvin was her sister’s matron of honor. She wore a two piece pink dress with jacket and matching headpiece. She carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and pink carnations.
Kenneth Marvin was bestman.
Mr. and Mrs. Rasmussen are residing in Greenwood following a short wedding trip to Northern Wisconsin. Mr. Rasmussen is employed in a cheese factory near Greenwood.
