Afrank, Herman (1880? - 20 NOV 1963)
A former resident of Owen and Withee communities (Clark Co., Wis.), Herman Afrank, 83, died unexpectedly at his home in McCleary, Wash., Nov. 20, 1963.
Mr. Afrank and family lived here prior to moving to Washington 25 years ago, farming in the Owen and Withee areas for some 20 years. They left here in 1938.
He was born in Omaha, Neb. Since moving to the west coast he had been employed in the Plywood Division of the Simpson Co. before he retired in 1951.
Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church at McCleary at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23.
Survivign are his widow, Christina; two sons, C.H. Afrank, Madras, Ore., and Wayne Afrank, riffe, Wash.; six daughters, Mrs. Johanna Palmer, Tacoma; Mrs. Grace Palmer, McCleary; Mrs. Effie Anderson, Lyons, Ore.; Mrs. Luell Spain, Seattle, and Mrs. Jean Hannaford, Hoquiam; three half-brothers, Arnold and Conrad King in Nebraska, and Martin King in South Dakota; a sister, mrs. Emma Gabriel in South Dakota; 20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
