Svetlik, Jeanne Marie (Marriage - 25 September 1965)
Miss Jeanne Marie Svetlik and Edward L. Kubicki exchanged nuptial vows in a double ring ceremony performed Saturday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville by the Rev. Bernard T. Kelly. Vases of fall flowers adorned the altar for the nuptial mass.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Svetlik of Neillsville and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kubicki of Wisconsin Rapids.
Mr. Svetlik escorted his daughter to the altar, where he gave her in marriage. For her wedding the bride chose a floor-length gown fashioned of ivory satin, decorated with a wide band of lace at the waist and featuring long, tapered sleeves. The lace continued around the train of the gown, which was attached to the back of the neck. Her veil was Mantilla in style and of ivory tulle and lace, accented with rhinestones. She carried a bouquet of yellow chrysanthemums.
Miss Carolyn Svetlik was her sister’s maid-of-honor. She wore a gown of ivory crepe in floor-length sheath style. The gown was enhanced by an Empire waist of avocado green lace. Her headpiece was of avocado green satin and lace to match. She carried a bouquet of yellow and bronze chrysanthemums.
Ratomind Hesson of Silver Springs, Md., served as best man. Ushers were Henry and Paul Kubicki, brothers.
Nuptial music was furnished by St. Mary’s School choir.
The bride is a graduate of Neillsville High School and attended Wisconsin State University-Stevens Point and the vocational school in Eau Claire. She is a secretary in Minneapolis. The groom also attended school in Stevens Point, completing his higher education in Minneapolis. He is engaged in sales in Minneapolis.
