Erpenbach, Cecelia M. (3 MAR 1927 - 17 MAR 2012)

 

Cecelia M. Erpenbach, 85, of Neillsville died Saturday, March 17, 2012, at the Neillsville Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Cecelia Marie (Fitzsimmons) Erpenbach was born March 3, 1927, in Drywood, Chippewa County, the daughter of John and Ellen (Seichter) Fitzsimmons. She attended school in Boyd. On February 20, 1950, she was united in marriage to William P. Erpenbach in Stanley. Throughout the years Cecelia raised 5 children and worked at the Farmer's Store, McCain's and Skogmos in Neillsville. She also worked at Nelson Muffler for 20 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Neillsville, St. Mary's PCCW and the Neillsville Legion Auxilliary. Cecelia loved her family and many friends. She was also very proud of her Irish Heritage.

She is survived by her husband, William of Neillsville, 5 children; Sylvia (John) Erpenbach-Skallerup of Muskegon, Mich., William J. Erpenbach of Cheyenne, Wyo., Paul A. (Natalie) Erpenbach of Neillsville, James P. Erpenbach and John R.(Mary) Erpenbach both of Madison and 7 grandchildren, Anne Skallerup of Chicago, Ill., James R. Skallerup of Cincinnati, Ohio, Erin Skallerup of Muskegon, Mich., Denise & Holly Erpenbach of Neillsville and Emily and Ashlyn Erpenbach of Madison. She is further survived by siblings Tony (Mary) Fitzsimmons, Betty Mathison and Otto (Deloris) Fitzsimmons and many nieces and nephews.

Cecelia was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Jeanette Bourget, John Fitzsimmons, Florence Giles, Leo Fitzsimmons, Hubert Fitzsimmons, Ken Fitzsimmons and Mary Zimmerman.

Serving as casket bearers for Cecelia will be William J. Erpenbach, Paul Erpenbach, Jim Erpenbach, John Erpenbach, John Skallerup and James Skallerup.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Cecelia at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Neillsville. The Rev. Varkey V. Joseph will be the celebrant. Providing music will be Ronald Resong, organist, and St. Mary's Choir. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
