Gaffney, A/3c Richard J. (Military Notes - 1965)
A/3c Richard J. Gaffney left Monday for Minneapolis, Minn., enroute for a 12-month tour of duty in Turkey. He had been spending a 30-day leave in Neillsville with his parents, Judge and Mrs. Richard F. Gaffney and family.
Airman 3/c Richard J. Gaffney, son of Judge and Mrs. Richard F. Gaffney of Neillsville, has been graduated from the technical training course for air force inventory specialists at Amarillo AFB, Tex.
Airman Gaffney, now trained to inventory supplies by use of electronic data processing machines, will be assigned to one of the more than 250 installations world-wide, where air force combat and support units are based.
Gaffney is a graduate of Owen-Withee High School.
