Christensen, Nels W. (Military Notes - 1965)
Nels W. Christensen, 24, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle S. Christensen of Thorp, has been promoted to private, first class at Fort Huachuca, Ariz., while a student at the army combat surveillance school.
He entered the army in September, 1964, and completed basic training at Fort Knox, Ky.
He is a 1959 graduate of Thorp High School and attended River Falls State College. Before entering the army Christensen was employed by an electronics firm in Maywood, Ill.
