Christensen, Oscar (1912? - 21 JAN 1960)

 

Oscar Christensen, age 47, Madison, Wis., and formerly Grade School principal at Bloomer, passed away suddenly Thursday evening.  He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam Christensen of Thorp and later of Eau Claire.

 

His marriage to Miss Ethel Florence of Phillips, Wis., took place June 3, 1935.  After their marriage they lived in Bloomer where he had been Grade School principal for 8 ½ years.  They then moved to other cities where he was principal, Kenosha, Ridgeway, Stoughton, West Bend and Green Lake.  At Madison he was employed as elementary supervisor with the State Department of Education, which position he held at the time of his death.

 

Surviving are his wife, Ethel; two daughters, Sarah of Madison and Susan of Waukesha, and one sister, Mrs. Floyd Lange, Hydro Lane, Chippewa Falls.

 

Services were held Sunday afternoon at two o’clock at the Hogseth-Pederson Funeral Chapel with the Chippewa Falls Masonic Lodge No. 176 F. & A.M. officiating at the funeral chapel and Forest Hill Cemetery where the interment took place.
