Holverson, Agnes (20 July 1885 - October 1965)
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Holverson, 80, were held Saturday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. Sheldon Seltzer of Marshfield officiated. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Holverson, the former Agnes Eagles, was born July 20, 1885, in Toronto, Canada, daughter of the late Arthur and Ada (Gilbert) Eagles. The family moved to Michigan while she was still a small child, and when she was eight years of age they moved to Clark County. She attended schools in this area.
On May 8, 1901, she was married to Edwin Holverson in Neillsville. He died in 1933. Mrs. Holverson was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She is survived by three children: Edwin Holverson of Butte, Mont., Mrs. Edward (Rosalie) Jessie of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Constance Lowe of Wisconsin Rapids. Eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren also survive.
Two hymns, "Jesus Savior Pilot Me" and "Jesus Whispers Peace," were sung by Mrs. Dave Devnich, accompanied by Mrs. Harold Howard.
Pallbearers were: Jesse Mike, Ernest Snyder, Carl Allen, William Ruchaber, George Tibbett and George Church.
Those from away attending were: Mrs. Connie Lowe of Wisconsin Rapids; Mrs. Rosalie Jesse, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Urban, Gayle and Jerry Urban of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Holverson of Butte, Mont.; Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Holverson of Patuxent, Md.; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Howard and Terrance, and Mrs. Dave Devnich of Arpin; Mrs. S. D. Seltzer of Marshfield; Mrs. Bertha Wildish of Merrillan; Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Greene of Chili; Miss Gertrude Holmes and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Qualley of Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Orlando Ackerman and Herman Awe of Owen.
