Sternitzky, Evelyn (Marriage - 30 October 1965)

Mis Evelyn Sternitzky, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Sternitzky of Rt. 1 Granton, and LeRoy Binder, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Binder of Rt. 1 Marshfield, exchanged wedding promises Saturday in the Corpus Christi Catholic Chruch in Bakerville, with the Rev. Francis P. Rushman performing the ceremony.

Nuptial music was furnished by the high school choir of the church, accompanied by Sister M. Damien at the organ.

The bride entered the church with her father.  For her wedding she wore a white, floor-length gown of Chantilly lace over taffeta, with a scalloped, jewel-trimmed neckline enhancing the Basque bodice.  The full all-lace front of the skirt was caught up at intervals with lace roses. The back was completed with alternating ruffled tiers of lace and nylon Tulle.  A finger tip silk illusion veil was attached to a seed pearl crown by pearl drops.  She carried a cascade arrangement of red roses, white pompons and white stephanotis, accented with greens.

Miss Janice Sternitzky of Granton was maid of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were Miss Sherly Heiting of Marshfield and Miss Georgianna Barth of Granton.

The attendants’ attires were orchid floor-length formals of acetate peau, styled with bateau necklines. Fitted midriffs topped their semi-full skirts, which were formed by impressed pleats.  Watteau panels with bow trim accented the back of the skirts.  Matching crowns, with pearl and crystal trim, held their face veils. Their bouquets were cascade arrangements of orchid pompons, white sweetheart roses and greens.

Mark Weber of rural Marshfield was bestman.  Groomsmen were Allen and Harlin Sternitzky of Granton.  Donald Schueller and Ken Duerr were the ushers.

Wedding day events included a reception, a wedding dinner and a dance in the evening.

On their return from a wedding trip through western states, Mr. and Mrs. Binder will reside on Rt. 1 Marshfield.  Mr. Binder is employed on a pipeline north of Neillsville.
