When Miss Carol Ann Elsinger approached the flower decked altar of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal, escorted by her father for the double ring natal ceremony which would make her the bride of Jon Martin Fisher, she wore a gown of white pure silk organza over taffeta, styled with a bouffant skirt with train and a large bow trim at back.  Sequin trimmed lace fashioned the scoop neckline and the short sleeves were complimented with matching gauntlets.  A pearlized orange blossom crown held her fingertip veil of illusion net.  She carried a cascade arrangement of red roses, fugi mums and stephanotis.

The Rev. Father N.E. King officiated at the 10 a.m. ceremony Saturday, Aug. 29. St. Anthony’s Choir sang.

In a gown of orchid nylon sheer ballerina length full skirt, cap sleeves, V neckline, empire waistline with matching bow and streamers in back and carrying a cascade bouquet of white daisy pompons and orchid carnations, Miss Jeanette Elsinger was maid of honor for her sister.

Gowns and bouquets of the bridesmaids were identical in style to those of the maid of honor, Mrs. Merlin Gardner of Evansville wore blue, Carmen Fisher of Wisconsin Rapids, cousin of the groom, wore pink, Verna Elsinger, Minneapolis, cousin of the bride, wore green and Mrs. Everett Smith, Humbird, sister of the groom wore yellow.

Karen Elsinger, sister of the bride and Kathy Jean Smith, Humbird, niece of the groom were flower girls.  They wore gowns of white nylon sheer with orchid cummerbunds and carried baskets of orchid and white mums.

Kenny Hanson of Granton was best man.  Groomsmen were Merlin Gardner of Evansville, Herb Langfeldt, Loyal cousin of the Bride, Roger Bender, Loyal, and Everett Smith, Humbird.

Ushers were Jerry Elsinger, Greenwood, brother of the bride and Peter Fisher, Marshfield, cousin of the groom.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. John Elsinger, Jr., of Greenwood, route 1 and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Fisher, Spencer, R. 2.  Mrs. Elsinger wore a two piece copper colored dress with scroll and rhinestone trim beige and brown accessories and a corsage of yellow roses and white carnations.  The groom’s mother wore black nylon sheer over orchid taffeta with sequin trim and black accessories.  Her corsage was red roses and white carnations.

Both the bride and groom are graduates of the Loyal High School.  The groom is a farmer and the bride is employed in the office of Berg Equipment Co., Marshfield.

Brunch with 125 guests and supper with235 guests were served at the church hall with a reception at the home of the bride’s parents and a dance at Kolby Park Pavilion.

When the couple return from a honeymoon trip to Niagara Falls and Canada they will live on a farm on Spencer, route 2.

Attending the wedding were guests from Guttenberg, Iowa; Dell Rapids, S. Dakota; Dewitt, Mich.; Minneapolis, Minn.; Milwaukee, Plymouth, Marshfield, Wisconsin Rapids, Humbird, Oshkosh, Greenwood, Medford, Appleton and Loyal.
