Zinthefer, Grace I. (03 Oct 1959)

In a 9:30 a.m. ceremony in Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Bakerville Saturday, October 3, 1959, Miss Grace I. Zinthefer and Charles R. Weis were united in marriage.

The Rev. Hugo Diers officiated before a flower decorated altar.  Sister M. Louise was organist and St. Mary’s girl’s choir of Bakerville sang.  Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Zinthefer, Marshfield, R. 2 and Mr. and Mrs. Reinhold Weis, Spencer, R.2.

As the bride was presented for marriage by her father she wore a floor length gown of white satin and alencon lace with ruffled inset of net and lace ending in a train.  Long pointed sleeves and a Peter Pan collar styled the bodice.  Her finger tip length veil of silk illusion was held by a seed pearl crown.  Her bouquet was an arrangement of red roses and white carnations.

Miss Clara Zinthefer, sister of the bride was maid of honor and wore a white nylon street length gown with embroidered insets and styled with a Sabrina neckline.  She carried red roses and white carnations.

In similarly styled gowns of green, blue and melon, Miss Helen Nickolia and Miss Theresa Konrardy, cousins of the bride from Marshfield, and Miss Gertrude Weis, sister of the groom from Spencer, were bridesmaids.  Their flowers were white carnations.  Also complementing the gowns of the attendants were cummerbunds and large back bows and each wore a short veil attached to a ruffled net headpiece.

The groom’s attendants were his brother, Sylvester Weis, Spencer, who served as his best man and Richard Zinthefer, Marshfield, brother of the bride, Frank Schuster, Marshfield, uncle of the bride and Robert Jicinsky, Stratford.

Ushers were Frances Zinthefer and Ruth Weis.

Rosle Johnson of Marshfield was flower girl and Timmy Zinthefer, Marshfield brother of the bride, was ring bearer.

The bride is a graduate of the Marshfield High School and has been employed by the A.H. Weinbrenner Co.  The groom is a graduate of the Loyal High School and is engaged in framing.

The bride’s mother wore a brown dress with brown accessories and the groom’s mother wore a blue dress.

A luncheon, reception and supper were served at the home of the bride’s parents and a dance was held at the Eagles Hall.

When the couple returns from a western trip they will make their home on route 2, Spencer.
