Zimmerman, Elmer R. (11 Feb 1893- 19 Oct 1959)
Funeral services will be conducted in Trinity Lutheran Church here at 2 p.m. Thursday for Elmer Reno Zimmerman, 66, Loyal, who died at 3 a.m. Monday in Neillsville Memorial Hospital. The Rev. J.G. Pfohl will officiate and burial will be made in the Loyal cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the Myre Funeral Home until noon Thursday, when it will be taken to the church.
Mr. Zimmerman was born in the town of Berlin, Marathon County, Feb. 11, 1893 and lived there on a farm until 1930, when he and his wife moved to a farm in the town of Beaver. He farmed in the latter township until 1951 when he sold his farm and moved to Loyal, where he had lived the past eight years. During this time he was employed at the Weuthrich Creamery, Greenwood.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He was married in the town of Coring, Feb. 18, 1914 to the former Laura Klebenow, who survives him.
Other survivors are three sons, Franklin, Lloyd and Rueben; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Martin and Walter, both of Merrill; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Borchardt, Merrill; his mother, Mrs. Pauline Zimmerman of Merrill.
He was preceded in death by three sons.
