Married at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 24th at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal, were Miss Diane C. Denk of Loyal and Gerald R. Anderegg of Kenosha with the bride’s cousin, Fr. Philip Scherer officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Denk, Loyal, route 1 and her husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Anderegg of Greenwood, route 1. For her bridal attire Mrs. Anderegg selected a floor length gown of nylon tulle made with long pointed sleeves, square neckline and a full skirt with a front pinafore panel. Her finger tip veil was attached to a tiara crown and she carried a shower bouquet of roses and stephanotis.
The bride chose for attendants her five sisters, Miss LaVonne Denk for her maid of honor and Pat, Kathy and Linda Denk, Loyal, and Mrs. Allen Schoonover, Waukesha for her bridesmaids. They were gowned in rose colored nylon organdy formals, with full gathered skirt, white lace bodice and matching jackets of nylon organdy. They carried baskets of white mums. Each wore a drop pearl necklace, a gift from the bride.
The groom chose, Bill Ehlers of Greenwood for his best man and his other attendants were Butch Harder of Kenosha and Allen Schoonover, the bride’s brother-in-law, Terry Denk the bride’s brother of Portsmouth, New Hampshire and Dick Scherer, cousin of the bride from Greenwood ushered.
Nuptial High Mass was sung by St. Anthony’s choir.
The bride’s mother wore a green print dress with black accessories and the groom’s mother wore cadet blue with blue accessories.
A noon time dinner was served in St. Anthony’s hall and a reception and supper were given at the home of the bride’s parents. A wedding dance was given at the Silver Dome Ballroom.
The groom is a graduate of the Greenwood High School and is employed at American Motors, Kenosha, and the bride is a graduate of the Loyal High School. They will make their home at Kenosha.
Guests came from Greenwood, Spencer, Marshfield, Alma Center, Milwaukee, Neillsville, and from Cleveland, Ohio and Chicago, Illinois.
