 Stange, Bertha M. (15 Mar 1897- 16 Dec 1959)

Funeral services for Mrs. Herman Stange, 82, were held in Trinity Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Phillip Mueller of Nasonville officiating.  Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery, Loyal.  Pallbearers were August Luber, Walter Radue, Ralph Scheel, Sr., Albert Witt, Harold Gardner and Art Lieske.

Mrs. Verland Dux and Mrs. Erwin dux sang, "Abide With Me" and "Rock of Ages."  Miss Carol Noeldner was organist.

The former Bertha M. Neuman was born in Germany, September 18, 1877.  She came to this country with her parents when eleven years of age.  The family settled in Chicago where she lived until a short time before her marriage.

She was married to Herman Stange in Trinity Lutheran Church, September 19, 1899.  Following their marriage they moved to the present farm home north of Loyal.

Mrs. Stange was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a charter member of its Ladies’ Aid.

She is survived by her husband; four sons, Jerome at home, Herbert in Milwaukee, Albert in Wausau and Alois in Athens; one daughter, Marie, at home; 4 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.  Three sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
