Anderson, Harry Arthur (11 January 1892 - 4 November 1965)
Harry Arthur Anderson, 73, of Rt. 2, Neillsville, died last Thursday in Neillsville. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. Oscar Nichols of the Neillsville Methodist Church officiated. Burial was made in the Dells Dam Cemetery.
Mr. Anderson was born January 11, 1892, in Plato Center, Ill., son of the late August and Emma (Ost) Anderson. He came to Clark County with his parents in 1906.
He worked on the railroad and farmed in the Town of Levis for many years, retiring in 1957. He was a Veteran of World War I and had been a member of the American Legion for over 45 years.
He had been a hospital patient since October 25, 1965. At the time of death he was a member of the Haugen-Richmond Post No. 70 of American Legion in Neillsville.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Wilbur, of Cashton; five sisters: Mrs. Esther Green of Merrillan, Mrs. Ellen Raether of Eau Claire, Mrs. Albert (Anna) Johnson of Plato Center, Ill, Mrs. Ethel Johnson of LeKalb, Ill., and Mrs. Ida Clauson of Worthington, Minn.; and by two brothers, John Anderson of Worthington, Minn., and Robert Anderson of Pasadena, Cal.
Graveside military rites were conducted by the Service Company under Arne Matheson. Bugler was John Raine.
Pallbearers were: Victor St. John, Henry Dahnert, Ernest Ulrich, Charles Marek, Jr., Guy Schultz and Arthur Ehlers.
"Someday the Silver Cord will Break" and "Abide With Me" were sung by Ellis Wall, accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.

Johnson, Jr., and Mrs. Vance Bates, all of Merrillan; Mr. and Mrs. Francis Thomas of Black River Falls; Dona Reynolds, Dane and Nell Payne of Merrillan; Marcella Flick of Alma Center, Mrs. Lyle Prindle of Humbird; Mrs. Beatrice Schilling of Fall Creek; Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Williams, Mrs. Ida Clausen of Worthington, Minn.; Phillip Schultz, Mrs. Lillian Wallmuth, and Mrs. George Wallmuth of Merrillan; and Mr. and Mrs. Loren Schilling of Altoona.
