Krejci, Victor (18 June 1887 - 12 November 1965)

 

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton for Victor Krejci, 78, of Granton, who died Friday in Neillsville. The Rev. L. L. McCormick of Chili officiated. Burial was made in Windfall Cemetery.

 

Mr. Krejci was born June 18, 1887, in the Town of York, where he attended rural school and grew to manhood.  In 1925, he was married to Mrs. Elsie (Buddinger) Canfield, who died in 1957.

 

He was a veteran of World War I.  For many years he did carpenter work in Loyal and Granton areas.

 

Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Ruth) Searles; and two step-children; Pat Canfield of Clam Lake and Alvin Canfield, address unknown.  Other survivors are five grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Emma Hemp of Neillsville, Mrs. George (Mary) Hales of rural Granton and Miss Estelle Krejci of Milwaukee.

 

"Face to Face" and "A Little While" were sung by Mrs. William G. Lindow and Mrs. F. L. Schilling of Chili, accompanied by Mrs. Albert Grimm of Chili.

 

Pallbearers were: Vernon Schumacher, Ben Beeckler, Floyd Pietenpol, Walter Steinbach, Harold Scharf and Mike Gardner.
