Funeral services are being held this afternoon (Thursday) at 1:30 p.m. from the Georges Funeral Home on 5th Street, Neillsville, for Judson A. Lyons, 79, of Neillsville, who died Tuesday at his home. The Rev. Fr. Bernard T. Kelly will officiate with burial in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Judson Angelo Lyons was born July 20, 1886 in Neillsville.  He attended Neillsville schools and spent most of his life in the Neillsville area, with the exception of the time he spent in World War I.

He was married November 14, 1918, to the former Frances Hartel, in Winona, Minn.  Following his discharge he returned to Neillsville and was employed by the Badger State Telephone Company, retiring after 22 years of service because of ill health.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Leonard J. Lyons of Carpinteria, Cal., and Russell Lyons of Neillsville; a sister, Mrs. Grace McHugh of Memorial Home, Neillsville; and by two grandchildren.
