Mrs. Pernod, who has been ailing for so long, quietly passed away last Friday morning. She was loved by the entire community and heartfelt sympathy goes out to the bereaved ones.
Mr. David Smith of Shortville is alarmingly ill with pneumonia. His son, Grant and George Smith from Viola vicinity are here and also his daughter Mrs. Kaper? From Indiana, and Mrs. Buroker his granddaughter from Gotham, all of whom are anxiously watching at his bedside.
Chris Feutz and family visited and did business in Sherwood Monday.
Mrs. Jack Ferguson has been ailing lately.
The Ladies Aid meeting to be this Thursday at Mrs. Bender’s has been postponed on account of the serious illness of her father, Mr. Smith.
