Toelle, Frieda (? - 22 December 1965)
Funeral services were held in Milwaukee Monday afternoon for Mrs. Frieda (Radke) Toelle, who died in Columbia Hospital in that city December 22.
A member of a pioneer family, Mrs. Toelle was the sister of Mrs. Albert Dahnert, and for many years was head of the English department of Shorewood High School. She was the author of several textbooks on English.
Born in Neillsville, Mrs. Toelle was a graduate of Neillsville High School and La Crosse Normal School, now the University-Wisconsin - La Crosse, and earned a Master’s Degree from Columbia University, New York City. She was a member of Phi Betta Kappa, National Scholastic Honorary Society.
