Wichelman, Gregory L. (14 DEC 1967 - 20 MAR 2012)
Gregory L. Wichelman, 44,
Granton died on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Ministry St. Joseph's
Hospital in Marshfield.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at
Zion Lutheran Church in Granton with Rev. Daniel Schoessow
officiating. Music will be provided by Caroline Helm as organist
and special music by Jim Schlinsog and Christina Raether. Burial
will take place in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Granton, and
serving as pallbearers will be Jason Raether, John Schram, Jon
Sternitzky, Gary Sternitzky, Rick Peet and Tony Dawson. The
visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 am until service time
at Zion Lutheran Church, Granton. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting
the family.
Greg was born on December 14, 1967 in Eau Claire, to Leona (Smith)
Wichelman and was a graduate of North High School in Eau Claire. He
had worked as a cook his entire life and was employed at Melody
Gardens, Marshfield, for over ten years. He loved to cook and spend
time with his family and friends and loved his dogs. Two special
dogs that touched his life were Buddy and Gotcha.
He is survived by his fiancée and forever soul mate, Liza
Sternitzky, his mother, Leona Wichelman and a daughter, Erika
Wichelman and his #1 son, Charlie Davis. He is also survived by a
sister, Christina (Jason) Raether, special cousins, Leona Seydel,
Rick (Mary) Peet and several other cousins, and aunts, Dorothy
Willison, Ruth Brown, and Betty Vance. He is further survived by
his best friend, John Schram and extended family, Gary and Joyce
Sternitzky, Jon and Heather Sternitzky, Sara Sternitzky, special
nephews, Riley and Aydin Sternitzky, special aunt, Ann Marie
Schlinsog, Allen & Judy Sternitzky, Arthur and Beth Dahl, and
Grandma Leona Sternitzky.
He was preceded in death by his father.
