Christman, William (1855? - 17 JAN 1917)

 

Wm. Chrisman died at the Eau Claire Hospital last week Wednesday and his remains, in charge of ex-county clerk Myron E. Wilding, were brought here for burial Friday.  The funeral was held from the Union Church with Rev. G.N. Longenecker of the Neillsville Congregational Church officiating Saturday afternoon, and interment made in the Windfall Cemetery.  The pallbearers were George Deegan, Aug. Lautenbach, M.E. Wilding and Geo. Rose.  Deceased was a man of 61 years, who was born in Beaver Town, Ohio.  He never married and for the last 20 years had lived among relatives here in this vicinity.  A year ago he was found to be suffering with cancer and underwent an operation for relief from same, to no avail.  He is survived by 2 half-sisters, Mrs. Lottie Hoover of Crandon and Mrs. Nettie Kidd of Dunn Center, N.D., one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Huff of Tennessee, one brother, Willard, of Lynn and two half-brothers, Ike of Beloit and Arthur of Aberdeen, S.D.
