William G. "Bill" Rosenberger, 62, Loyal, died on Thursday, March 8, 2012, in Arcadia, from injuries sustained in a truck accident. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, March 13, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal. Rev. Keith Kitzhaber officiated.
William George Rosen was born on July 31, 1949, in Greendale, the son of James and Alice (nee Gibbon) Rosenberger. He was raised and received his education in the Milwaukee area, graduating from Burlington Cathlic Central High School in 1967. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for a year and the University of Wisconsin Platteville for one year. He was drafted into the U.S. Army on Sept. 25, 1969, and served overseas in Vietnam. He received his honorable discharge on Feb. 4, 1972. He married Sandra K. Turner on Nov. 23, 1974, in Montfort. In 1981, they bought a hobby farm south of Loyal. Bill was the general manager of the feed and fertilizer departments for the Cenex plant in Owen until 2002. He later drove truck for Bugar Trucking, Loyal, and retired in the summer of 2011. He was a cowboy at heart and especially enjoyed horses, rodeo, his hobby farm, working in his shop and fixing things. He was a Wisconsin High School Rodeo board member for many years.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Sandy, Loyal; two daughters, Kristy (Rodney) Terry, Elk Mound, and Kelly (Daniel) Kroening, Stratford; three grandchildren, Riley and Madelynn Kroening and Braden Terry; his mother, Alice Roserberger, Dodgeville; two brothers, Jim (Teresa) Rosenberger, Mineral Point, and John Rosenberger, Hartland; one sister, Mary (Steve) Peck, Mount Sterling; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father
