Irene D. Capetz, 91, Chatanooga, Tenn., formerly of Loyal, died on Sunday, March 11, 2012, at Parkview Hospital, Chatanooga. Services were held on March 19 at Bradshaw Funeral Home, St. Paul, Minn. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery, St. Paul.

Irene Dorothy Ziebell was born on July 23, 1920, in Loyal, to Fred and Frieda Ziebell. She graduated from Loyal High School. She married John Capetz in 1943. They lived for 33 years in St. Paul, where they raised their family. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church, St. Paul. Fourth Baptist Church, Minneapolis, and Grace Baptist Church, Chatanooga. She was cherished by all that knew her, and her godly character touched many lives.

Survivors include four children, Ronald (Debbie) Capetz, David (Cheryl) Capetz, Susan (Kenn) Wilhelmsen, and Joel (Nancy) Capetz; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Erwin (Elaine) Capetz; and cousins, nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, John.
