Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Montag of Cedarhurst came over to Lynn last Friday and Mrs. Montag with her brother Clark Books went to Pleasant Ridge to attend the funeral of their grandfather Zipfel.

Ernest Sternitzky, while visiting his daughter Mrs. Pusheck, was taken sick with the grippe and confined to his bed.  Dr. Housley was in attendance and he is now on the gain.

John Ure has been sick for the past week and under the doctor’s care.

A.C. Witt transacted business at Marshfield Wednesday.

Carl Burgie left for Clintonville to visit friends for a week.

John Schaefer transacted business at Chili on Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hankey and family spent Sunday at E. Keuer’s at Star Corners.

Mrs. Fred Capelle returned home Tuesday from Plymouth where she was called to see a sick sister a week ago.

Geo. R. Brooks is the busiest man in town.  For the last month and the last week was a rushing one for he has been kept at the tax roll almost steady.

Herman Riedel of Nasonville arrived Monday and is visiting his daughter, Mrs. Ernest Hankey.

Albert Scholtz of Rib Falls came down Saturday to attend the funeral of his grandfather Zipfel out at the Ridge.  He came to Lynn Sunday and spent a few hours with the E.F. Brooks family and then visited his mother at Sherwood and returned home again Monday.

Walter Krause, who has been employed at Witte’s store in Granton, resigned his position there Monday and will accept a position in the P.J. Kemmeter store.

Wm. Sternitzky transacted business at the county seat last Saturday.

Mr. Viergutz went to Neillsville to consult Dr. Frank in regard to his health on Monday.

Miss Gertrude Martin and Arno Ross and the Wm. Wagners’ were entertained by Mrs. Ross of East Lynn Thursday evening for oyster supper.

Louis Scholtz and A. Vogel of Sherwood transacted business here Tuesday.
