Pliszka, Valentine (4 FEB 1875 - 7 MAY 1960)
Valentine Pliszka, 85, passed away Saturday, May 7, 1960 at the Medford Hospital of a heart ailment.
Mr. Pliszka was born Feb. 4, 1875 in Poland. When he came to America he settled in the Town of Roosevelt until Sept. 1, 1949 when he retired from farming and moved to the village of Lublin. He married Zuzan Harbin at Chicago, Ill, and was a member of the Polish National Alliance, Z.N.P.
Funeral services were held at St. Stanislaus B.M. Church at Lublin on Tuesday, May 10 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Aquinas Helwig O.F.M. of Pulaski, Wis., officiated, and burial was in St. Stanislaus B.M. Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Zuzan, one son Adam of Lublin, four daughters, Helen Jwasczuk, Catherine Zarek, Elizabeth Czyzewski, all of Chicago, Phyllis Piotrowski, Jump River and one brother, Frank Pliszka, Chicago.
Pallbearers were: George Zwiacz, Frank Kusek, Stanley Wojdyla, Jos. Szeplence, Joe Novak and Walter Bando.
Out of town relatives attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Peter Jwaszuk, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Czyzewski and children, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Pietras, Harry Perzan, and Frank Pliszka, all of Chicago, Ill., Jos. Piotrowski and boys, Vic Parejko, Martha Sterry, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kozial, Sheldon, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Kostick, Holcombe and Jack Olds, Owen.
