North Grant (20 October 1911)
The wedding celebration at Rob Garbisch’s last week Wednesday evening was a splendid affair. The bride wore a beautiful Irish green gown while the groom wore the regulation black. The evening was mostly spent in singing and dancing and a bounteous wedding supper was served. The crowd never parted until the roses were all withered. The good old lager beer flowed down the hill and the band still plays on.
Harold Pischer is reported very sick. Dr. Rath is in attendance.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Garbisch had their baby christened last Sunday.
Paul Garbisch had a husking bee Thursday evening.
Dan Gluch, Jr. lost a cow last week which was killed by a train.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kelpin, Mr. and Mrs. Schueller and children and Grandma Keuer spent Sunday with Mrs. Gottlieb Reisner.
