Mrs. Chas. Kuechenmeister spent last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Nickel.

 

Erna Yankee is on the sick list and absent from school this week.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Lew Smith and their two youngest children spent Sunday afternoon at Fred Handke’s.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Downer and daughter Lela spent Sunday with the Eugene Osgood family.

 

Howard Erwin and family were Sunday afternoon guests at Mrs. Amelia Converse’s.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gardner and several of their children, with Grandpa Gardner who is her from Pepin County, spent Sunday at Fred Kleinschmidt’s in Nasonville.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kleinschmidt and their guests from Coloma visited the Frank Gardner family on Monday.

 

Clay Converse came down from Butternut last Friday on a combination business and pleasure trip and visited his cousin Hugh over Sunday, returning to his work again Monday morning.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hillert were Sunday visitors at the Fred Sternitzky home.

 

Mrs. Fernando Johnson is home from the Eau Claire Hospital since last week Thursday.  Her many friends will be glad to know that she has fared better than was first thought.  She will recover in part, the use of her injured arm where it was at first though she would be able.

 

Dr. Rath was called to see the baby in the Otto Yordi family Tuesday.  The little one is much better at this writing.

 

The Gus Bergeman family is happy since last week Thursday by having little Harland home from a 12 week stay at the Marshfield Hospital.  Harland we are happy to say is now convalescing nicely.

 

The York Cheese Factory was the scene of a business meeting of its patrons Tuesday evening.

 

Glen Johnson bought Cedric Smith’s cutter advertised in last week’s issue of the News.  It pays to advertise.
