Mrs. T. D. Wage will entertain the Circle at dinner next Wednesday.
Mrs. John Bladl spent Wednesday morning with friends at Chili.
The Misses Hattie, Rosa and Irene Viergutz spent Sunday at Ed Ackerman’s.

Miss Emma Kimball made a visit among Neillsville friends, Wednesday.
H. L. Bender and son Floyd came home Wednesday from a visit to the formers old home in Richland County.
Mrs. C. E. Beeckler has resigned her commission as substitute on Rural Route No. 2.
Paul Handt is working for Will Sanger at Chili, since Sunday.
Mrs. LaBudde of Colby is here since last Friday visiting Mrs. Amelia Reichert.
Mrs. Flint who makes her home with her daughter Mrs. H. A. King is reported quite ill.
Sixty one persons from here made the round trip to Black River Falls, Sunday.

Mrs. H. Dow of Nasonville suffered the misfortune to break one of her lower limbs last Saturday. Dr. Melbee of Marshfield was called to attend.

Clark Calkins of Sherwood took the train here Tuesday morning for Almond. He expects to be absent two weeks.
Mrs. Levi G. Morris has so far recovered from her recent operation for appendicitis as to have come home Tuesday from the hospital at Marshfield.
Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Toptine and Mrs. Hannah Lowery all of Elk Creek arrived here Tuesday on a visit between the Toptine, Lowery and Geo. Cramer families.
A song service and Bible study will be held at the Union Church next Sunday evening. Subject: "The Sinner’s Need of Christ." All are invited to be present; leader, Gertrude Holmes
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ober went to Arpin, Monday for a weeks visit at Rice Davis’. Mrs. Davis, their only child is reported to be quite sick. Mr. and Mrs. Ober are at present very well and sprightly.
Mrs. John Fuller received a card from Mrs. John Grasser of Jack Wade, Alaska last week writing from Seattle, Wash. They are on their way south after a few weeks stay at Seattle.

Mrs. B. F. Frazier came home Tuesday from a two weeks visit at Freeport, Ill.
George Messing of Sherwood is reported to be in very poor health.
Mr. A. J. Thompson sold his farm in Sherwood last week and with his family move to Bailey, N. D., on Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. John Hefty of Chili were over Sunday guests of relatives here.
Chas Neinas and Geo. Rose bought quite a herd of fine looking stock at the Hohenstein auction last week.
The basket social given by the school Friday evening was a very enjoyable affair and well patronized. The evening’s receipts were $21.05 from which the rent of the hall and a few minor expenses alone are to be deducted.
Comb honey at 12c a comb at Witte’s; also pure strained honey $4.00 a gallon.
Derby the well driller has a ‘fishing’ job on his hands. In trying to remove an old casing from a well on the Wm Storm premises he had his drilling tools stuck to sight that they have to be dug out.
Chas Osgood of Rozellville called on friends here between trains Wednesday. He reports his step-son who underwent an operation for a gathering in his hip is doing nicely at the Marshfield Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Davis and children were welcomed here last Friday. Mrs. Davis has three children and Albert has two. They are nicely located at Albert’s fine farm home which Mrs. Romanzo Davis had with infinite pains got in readiness for them.
Harry Cattanach and family who moved from the Albert Dais farm into the D. E. Barker house here last week Monday were followed up by the stork with a fine baby boy, Saturday. They now have two boys.
Miss Bertha Worchel joined the Ed Konshak family and Mrs. Louis Reichert at the depot here Saturday evening and went to Eau Claire where they made an over Sunday visit. Mrs. Reichert returning to Chili while Mr. and Mrs. Konshak and Miss Worchel continued their trip to Valley Junction, Iowa.
Mr. and Mrs. Adolphus Clement and daughter Marion arrived here Saturday, from Sidney, Mont. They will visit at George Messing’s in Sherwood, at Ernest Stubbs’ in Lynn and various other relatives before returning home.

The Mesdames Webb Winn, Ernest Lee, W. D. Rose, Ara Lee, Jas. Finnegan, Hugh Berg, A. J. Knorr, John Breseman, C. E. Beeckler and Mis Myrtle Knorr were guests of the Royal Neighbors at Neillsville Wednesday. They report being most pleasantly entertained.
