GIRL KILLED IN TOWN OF SHERMAN
Anther tragic accident occurred on highway 98 between Spencer and Loyal when Lillian Dietsche was struck and atally injured by a car driven by Chas. Rahm of Loyal. The accident happened at about 5:45 Tuesday afternoon. Lillian had ridden her bicycle to Loyal to visit her mother, Mrs. Cora Dietsche, who is employed at the James McGonigal home. On her way home she stopped to visit a short time at the Kanneberg home. She had just ridden from the driveway to the pavement when she was struck. A crew of men were threshing at the Kanneberg home, and Lillian was rushed to Dr. Hable’s office at Loyal in Jack Pengelly’s care. She died in the doctor’s office at 6:30. The doctor’s examination disclosed a broken right thigh, both legs broken, and severe skull injuries.
The body was taken to the funeral home of the Cooperative Burial association at Marshfield. The funeral will be held at 2:00 o’clock Friday afternoon at the Lutheran church in Loyal.
